The Seaweed Archive is a collaborative place for research, creation and thought dedicated to amplifying the importance of seaweed.
Through scientific, artistic and educational approaches, we work to transform the way we understand, value and relate to these fundamental organisms for the health of the ocean and the planet.
From the documentation and digitalization of historical collections, to the creation of sensory and immersive experiences, we develop initiatives that reveal the ecological, cultural and aesthetic complexity of seaweed. We collaborate with research institutions, museums, coastal communities and artists from around the world to amplify knowledge about these critical ecosystems in times of climate crisis.
